What does the extension do?
Calculates the real rate. Many offers show an attractive payment but hide the total cost. The extension calculates the effective annual rate (E.A.) from the figures you're given. It also shows the monthly rate and the nominal annual rate, so you can compare with what the lender tells you.
Compares with the legal cap. The extension automatically checks whether the rate exceeds Colombia's usury cap, certified each month by the Superintendencia Financiera. It tells you clearly whether the offer is below, near or above the limit.
Protection against loan sharks
When the cost is disproportionate — for example, if you'd pay more than double what you receive — the extension warns you and takes you to the official registry (RUES) so you can verify whether the lender is supervised by the Superfinanciera.
Real privacy

How is the usury rate calculated?

When the cap expires, the extension stops issuing a legal verdict rather than showing you outdated data.
